I created a painting about my time watching TV with my 40 year old aunt in my Grandma’s house as a child, not to imply the significance of the programming we watched, but to call attention to the bond created with our time spent. There really wasn’t any other context for just the two of us to spend so much time together and being so far apart in age, there was so much from me to take from her generation and it played a major role in shaping my development.
